That's genuinely one of the most interesting things I've seen from an action camera. Thanks!

Didn't the 88 T-bird have IRS? Live axle swap or am I missing something?

I'm not much of a Ford so I couldn't tell you in earnest that I know. Sorry

nope, the 88's were still fox platform. The T-Birds and Cougars didn't get IRS until the MN12 platform update in 89.

I happened to be talking about it today with a friend. We both know the owner. He has a few other toys, such as a Turbo Pinto, a GT40 kit car with a Turbo V8, a Ford Ranger tube chassis autocross monster.

Dude and his father are chill, and quite fast drivers

I think, and I say think because I'm not going to cheat and google it, but i think that it was the later thunderbirds that had the IRS (I do know that was the starting point for the Cobras and Cobra R's IRS tho).

*google search*

yup, it was the 89-97s that had the IRS

My goodness, you certainly have a lot of theatrics going on underneath your car.

Love seeing how things work like that. Even better knowing they're nice guys with cool toys.

Had to wiki to confirm, but you're right they do. The 3.8 turbos had the fresh design IRS with them. The older i4 turbos (which I did not know were a thing, only knew of the 3.8s) were dropped with the 89 refresh.

Yay I learned something today!
